The Range Rover Sport is now locally made, which has reduced its price by around Rs 29 lakh. The Range Rover Sport line-up starts with the Dynamic SE variants. The made-in-India Range Rover Sport gets litre petrol and diesel engines, while the litre V8-engined SV edition continues to be a full import. The Range Rover Sport is about the same size as the standard-wheelbase Range Rover and it combines luxury, sportiness and off-road ability in a compelling package. The Range Rover Sport gets mild-hybrid tech for all engines, an 8-speed automatic gearbox, 4WD and air suspension as standard.

The Velar is a good look but some reckoned it lacked cylinders under the bonnet to snare their interest. Now SVO, JLR’s go-fast division, has devised a V8-powered version. Is the result as epic as its long-winded name?
Kiwi buyers in the upper stratosphere of the market like their luxury with a solid dose of performance. M, AMG and RS models all do exceedingly well here, and it’s a similar story over at JLR where its SVR offerings are well received. A while back we drove the Jaguar F-Type SVR, a rowdy cat full of grunt and growl, and there’s a similar offering from Land Rover with its Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition. While the name is a linguistic smorgasbord, it’s another high-end performance option for the deep pocketed.
Moreover, it’s no cut and paste of the F-Type SVR into the Velar shell. SVAutobiography models major more on luxury, but this Velar, being the Dynamic Edition, still has plenty of go. Think of it as a measured blend of sports and luxury.

Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic launched at Rs crore
Land Rover India has launched a new high-end variant of the Range Rover, the SVAutobiography Dynamic, at Rs crore (ex-showroom, India).
Based on the standard-wheelbase version of the Range Rover, the new trim has been created by JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) to deliver a luxurious yet sporty package. The hp, litre, supercharged V8 engine is shared with the SVAutobiography Long Wheelbase mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Exterior changes to this new variant include Graphite Atlas accents, red Brembo brake calipers and exclusive new alloy wheels. On the inside, the new trim gets diamond-quilted seats (available in four colours) and a red key line on the rotary shifter, and Grand Black front and rear door veneers meant to reflect the SVAutobiography Dynamic’s distinctive personality.
The Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic is the fourth vehicle in SVO’s India portfolio after the Range Rover SVAutobiography, Range Rover Sport SVR and Jaguar F-Type SVR.
