Dusolina Giannini was an Italian-American soprano, particularly associated with the Italian repertory.

Born into a musical family in Philadelphia, Giannini was the daughter of Italian tenor Ferruccio Giannini, who came to the United States in , and with whom she first studied, later studying with Marcella Sembrich in New York. She began in concert in , in New York, also appearing in England. She made her stage debut in Hamburg, as Aida and Santuzza, later appearing in Berlin, Vienna, London. She sang at the Salzburg Festival in , as Donna Anna and Alice Ford, and made her debut at the Paris Opéra in , as Donna Anna. In , she created, in Hamburg, the role of Hester Prynne in The Scarlet Letter, an opera by her brother Vittorio Giannini.

She sang at the Metropolitan Opera from to , also appearing at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the San Francisco Opera. She also took part in the first season of the New York City Opera in , as Tosca. After the war, she continued appearing in Paris, London, Berlin, and Vienna, and then turned to teaching, notably in Zurich.

After the war, she continued appearing in Paris, London, Berlin, and Vienna, and then turned to teaching, notably in Zurich.

Daughter of Italian tenor Ferruccio Giannini () and the pianist Antonietta Briglia-Giannini. She studied with her father and with Marcella Sembrich. Her first performance was in a concert at Carnegie Hall (). She made her stage debut at the Hamburg State Opera () as Aida. She appeared at the State Operas in Berlin, Vienna, and Hamburg. She also sang at Covent Garden, the Salzburg Festivals, in Zurigo, Monte Carlo, Oslo, Brussels, Amsterdam, San Francisco, and Mexico City. She finally arrived at the Metropolitan Opera in , making her debut there as Aida, and remaining there until While in the States she sang in San Francisco, Chicago, and with the NY City Opera during their first season (, opening night Tosca). After World War II she toured Europe again. Always on the move during her stage career, she finally settled in Zurigo where she taught.
