ウクライナのハルキウ生まれ。年にスペインのパンプローナで開催されたパブロ・サラサーテ国際ヴァイオリンコンクールで学習助成賞を受賞したことで、奨学金を得てユーディ・メニューイン音楽学校に入学し、ナタリア・ボヤルスカヤに師事した。ジョルジェ・エネスク音楽祭でベートーヴェンのヴァイオリン協奏曲の演奏で一等賞を受賞。エネスクのヴァイオリンソナタ第3番の演奏でエネスク財団賞、最優秀演奏賞を受賞。年から年にかけて、ダグラス・ボイド指揮のヨーロッパ室内管弦楽団、ヤン・パスカル・トルトゥリエ指揮のボーンマス交響楽団と共演。年の夏にアスペン音楽祭でアメリカデビュー。年には、ロシアの作曲家ボリス・ティシチェンコのヴァイオリンとピアノのための協奏曲をニューヨークのカーネギーホール及びワシントンのアメリカ議会図書館で、アメリカでの初演を行った。年には指揮者のローレンス・フォスターとともにエネスクのヴァイオリン・ソナタ第3番の録音をリリースした。現在はドイツ在住。ロッテルダム・フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、東京交響楽団、フランス国立管弦楽団など著名なオーケストラと数多く共演し、世界的に演奏活動を行っている。年の来日の祭には、上岡敏之指揮の新日本フィルとともにブラームスのヴァイオリン協奏曲を演奏した。
