As political thrillers go the plot of Born to Run is one of the more ridiculous I’ve read and at times borders on farce, including the “exciting” conclusion. And I also had the suspicion that much of this was written with an eye on how it would play out on a movie, or at the very least, a TV screen.
Jack’s current girl-friend, an FBI agent, comes across as pretty much of an idiot, which is par for the course for Jack’s love life.
